Joyful Memories Photography | Empty Arms

October 15, 2021

Most people who follow me know that we had our Ethan on August 12th at 23weeks and 4 days.  He fought hard for 9 days and a bacterial infection got him and his life reduced quickly and he went home to be with the Lord on August 21st.

I knew that October was Infant Loss Awareness month and that today, October 15th is Infant Loss Awareness day.  I had tried to think of something to do with a photo session on this sensitive, emotional topic, but wasn’t quite sure what to do.  My cousin had shared a photographer’s idea of honoring moms who have lost a baby and I knew this is something I wanted to do in our area.

I truly enjoyed meeting every single lady who participated yesterday and I wish I got to spend more time with them each, but time ran out.  They all looked so lovely and some brought items to be in the pictures.  Even though this can be a sensitive topic for a lot, there are some women that I talked to last night that wanted to share with the world their babies’ lives! Even though they aren’t here with us, they will always have a huge impact on our lives and their story to share!

Thank you to each lady who came last night and I am so glad you were a part of this to honor our babies!
